1 hours plus of walking with deep thoughts
Today, I meet up some of my university friend for dinner and supper. We were chatting about the industry and everything we felt about the creative line. After the supper, I rushed to the MRT to catch the last train, but fail. I decided to take a walk back home. I have spent an hour plus walking with a deep thought almost like the Japan’s philosophy path. Suddenly, I felt that my life is full of surprises. Sometime, you cannot predict or foresee the event, but I always believe that it happened for a reason, it is like asking me to do something about it.
It happens when I am meeting my primary school friend for supper. They starts to discuss about studying University, which I never thought of it. At that time Government also start to allow more polytechnic student to study the University in years 2005. Furthermore, the animation course appeared in NTU which is excited to me because I always wanted to create my own animation. My consciousness telling me to give it a try.I considered myself lucky to get into University which has surprised my friend and my relative.
Another case is during my FYP, there is an idea occurs to me and I followed my guts to do it. I told myself that this animation might not be best but at least it must look presentable and look completed. It was quite surprised that it turns out quite well. It has showed in the Sichuan News Report for 1 seconds from 0:27 to 0:28 , which means more than thousand people are watching it on the TV. That was the moment, I felt proud and happy that all my hard work is worth it.

I am glad that my friend’s discussion and the animation festival in China which hints me to do something about it. My ambition starts to grow. I hope that i could find someone to create another animation to show it to the world again.

I believe there is no ugly or beautiful art work, but whether the person appreciate it anot. My animation “Harvest” have sent to many festival, only one of the festival accepted and appreciated my work. I am very happy that someone has acknowledged that my work is good. This is my very first animation has been accepted.
24 hour comic event
This is my second time joining a 24 hour comic event. I was surprise that the group photo has appeared on the strait time’s life page. I am glad I have manage to stay through the event with my friend. But the important thing is I have alot of fun and learn something from other people. Knowing other participant’s style and working habit. Sadly that one of my friend could not join in the fun due to work. Unfortunately, I did not might to complete the 24 pages of comic within the 24 hours but I am happy with the result as to compare to last few year ago.
Last few year ago, I have joined this kind of event during my National service. Without any drawing background of me is quite difficult to produce a comic. I spend 5 hours to complete a page while other people has completed 5 or 10 pages. Furthermore I join this event alone, without anyone to chat is quite stress and bored. Until 12 am, I give up on the event and took a cab home. I realized that it is not that easy to produce a comic without a drawing background and knowledge of storyboard.
After I completed my studies in ADM, I think I have improve a lot in term of my drawing skill and the fundamental knowledge stuff. Joining this 24 hour event making me to recall back to the past challenge of my first 24 hour comic event.
Oil Painting.
Spending 1 month to learn zbrush and another 2 weeks to do this dinosaur model. It has not completed yet, need to add teeth and claw on it. 10 minutes of rendering each images.
Modeling, Texturing and Lighting in 3 days without using mental ray in Maya.
